LaTex for Humans... and Historians
Submitted by PhiDdy Sense on Wed, 2010-02-10 08:26I am planning on using Lyx to build my dissertation, but have to admit that beginning with it is a little intimidating for fear of losing lots of stuff or having to re-work a lot of stuf, because the logic is different than word processors.
I've just found a blog that tries to make using LaTeX a little less intimidating. It is called LaTeX for Humans. Check it out.

I recently found Mendeley Research Networks and I am very pleased I did. What a great concept. At its core, Mendeley is a desktop bibliographic database that allows you to manage all of your references in one place and then synchronise it with an online database. This allows you to have access to your bibliography from any online access point, whether you have your computer with you or not. It can sync with Zotero and Cite-you-like, as well as import from EndNote and Refworks.
